2025 wasn’t just a year — it was a process. A thought that refused to stay just an idea. Sketches, debates, prototypes, setbacks, and breakthroughs, until something tangible finally took shape. Pieces that no longer speak only about us, but about you. In this article, we look back at the journey of FNCNG in 2025 and show how the brand evolved from a raw idea into finished products.
January – Where the Idea Took Shape
In January, FNCNG was still an unspoken tension — a feeling that fencing carries a strong culture, identity, and attitude that no one had yet translated into the language of streetwear. A name scribbled in a notebook, a few references, long conversations about what’s missing once you step out of the fencing hall. We weren’t thinking in collections yet, but in statements. That’s when it became clear: FNCNG wouldn’t follow trends — it would build its own world.
February – Turning Vision into Commitment
By the end of February, the first sketches had taken real shape. The visual direction was clear, the presentation was ready, and the business plan finally put structure behind the idea. What had started as instinct now had a framework and a future. This was also the moment when the decision was made together with PBT Hungary: to move forward as partners and bring FNCNG to life side by side.
March – First Appearance, Under the Radar
In March, FNCNG quietly stepped into the spotlight. At the annual épée and sabre cups in the BOK Hall, our first prototypes made their debut — worn incognito, blending into the crowd, observing reactions from the stands. No announcements, no noise, just presence. This was also when the very first photos were taken, capturing the moment the brand moved from concept to real-world testing.
April–May – Building, Testing, Refining
April and May were all about the groundwork. Product development took center stage, alongside the search for the right manufacturing and creative partners. Materials were tested, fits were refined, and every detail was challenged in real use. This phase wasn’t about speed, but about getting it right — making sure each piece could live up to the standard we set for FNCNG.
With the products taking shape, we built the digital home of FNCNG. The website went live, our social media channels were launched, and the first designs were put through serious audience testing. Feedback, reactions, and data helped fine-tune not just how the brand looks, but how it speaks — ensuring FNCNG would resonate long before the official launch.
June–July – Creating Momentum
June and July marked the first real wave of communication. Our initial social media campaigns went live, focused on sparking curiosity rather than selling. Teasers, visuals, and subtle messages began circulating, and interest started to build organically. This phase was about momentum — letting the community discover FNCNG and start paying attention on their own terms.
The response exceeded our expectations. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing our belief that this was worth committing to fully. What started as an experiment quickly turned into validation — proof that the vision resonated and that taking the leap with FNCNG wasn’t just bold, but right.
August – From Vision to Reality
In August, the first finished products finally came to life. What had existed only as sketches and prototypes became real, tangible pieces. At the same time, we focused on preparing for the September launch — aligning logistics, communication, and timing to make sure FNCNG would arrive exactly the way we imagined it.
September – The First Drop
September marked a major milestone: sales officially began through PBT’s channels. FNCNG stepped out of preparation mode and into the real world, meeting its audience where the fencing community already lives. From that moment on, the brand wasn’t just an idea or a product line — it became something people could actually choose, wear, and make their own.
The months that followed brought a flood of insights and feedback — all of which we’re deeply grateful for. We learned fast, listened closely, and turned those lessons into action. Along the way, we produced a growing amount of video content for our social channels and gradually expanded the lineup, introducing more and more pieces: T-shirts, hoodies, and beanies, each one building on the last.
November – Meeting the Community Face to Face
In November, we had the chance to meet the fencing community in person — twice. With our own dedicated booth at competitions in Hungary, we presented FNCNG directly to fencers, showed them the products up close, and, just as importantly, listened. Their ideas, opinions, and honest reactions became invaluable input, reinforcing that FNCNG is built not just for the community, but together with it.
It was an incredible journey to see how much you embraced our products and how many valuable insights you shared with us along the way. Watching FNCNG pieces worn by both Hungarian and international fencers was a powerful moment — a clear sign that what we’re building resonates beyond borders and truly belongs to the community that inspired it.
December – The Year’s Final Surge
December kicked off with Black Friday and rolled straight into the Christmas rush. Watching stock levels drop day by day was unreal — demand kept coming, and we could barely keep up with producing new pieces fast enough. It was the strongest confirmation yet that FNCNG had truly found its place by the end of the year.
What Comes Next
Now it’s time to take a short step back and recharge. From January, FNCNG returns renewed — with completely new designs and fresh energy. Next year, we’ll show the world of fencing that individuality and self-expression truly matter, and that style can be just as much a part of the sport as performance itself.
None of this would exist without you. Your support, your feedback, your enthusiasm — all of it has shaped FNCNG into what it is today. You didn’t just buy products, you helped build a brand. As we move forward, we invite you to stay close, share your ideas, wear FNCNG with pride, and help grow a community where individuality, attitude, and the love of fencing come together. This is only the beginning — and you’re a part of it.
Wishing You a Wonderful Holiday Season
Thank you for being with us on this journey.
With gratitude,
The FNCNG Streetwear Team
